Thinking of buying skincare/cosmetics over the internet?

Are you thinking of buying skincare/cosmetics items from overseas and having them shipped to Malaysia? Well, think again. You just cannot get past KLIA customs. They are VERY strict on this now. I went through the whole ordeal before. So, do Read what i went through before you buy any "Cosmetic" products from the internet.

Acetic Acid

Occurs naturally in apples, cocoa, grapes, coffee, oranges, peaches, pineapples, strawberries, vinegar and a variety of other fruits and plants. Used as part of a natural preservative system. We do not use chemical preservatives incl. parabens, urea, etc.

Alginate Sea Minerals (Algin)

Obtained from seaweed and used as a natural emulsifier, thickener and stabilizer in shampoos and other hair care products. Also makes hair feel softer and shinier.

Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Extract)

Used medicinally for thousands of years for healing of burns and injuries. Wonderful in cosmetics for soothing, regenerating and moisturizing properties. We use organic aloe vera (fresh extract from inner-gel of aloe barbadensis) which is a succulent plant that holds water in its leaves that supports moisture balance of the skin.

AHA (Alfa Hydroxy acid)

Natural source of AHA (Alpha-Hydroxy-Acids) derived from rhubarb that aids skin in shedding dead skin cells thus exposing softer smoother skin beneath.

Alpinia (Alpinia Officinarum Root Extract)

A traditional Malaysian rainforest herb from the jungle with medicinal and cosmetic values used for thousands of years. Medicinally used to heal ailments from bronchitis to cholera, joint and ligament pains and skin diseases as well. An excellent and powerful astringent for cosmetics. We proudly use it in Alpinia & Tea Tree Facial Wash.

Angelica (Angelica Archangelica)

Mild anti-microbial herb that soothes irritations. Part of Paul Penders LevensESSENTIE Gold™ 22 herbal extract.

Aqua

Purified and/or distilled well water is used in making LevensESSENTIE Gold™ herbal extract. Also employed in creams to achieve a good consistency, assists in hydration of skin and help ingredients better to penetrate skin.

Anti-Oxidants

Preservatives that prevent natural fats from spoiling. We use a natural anti-oxidant tocopherols (vitamin E) derived from palm fruit and/or wheat germ.

Arnica (Arnica Montana)

A herb that is part of LevensESSENTIE Gold™ 22 herbal extract that strongly promotes healing and stimulates circulation. Also used as a natural anti-irritant in Paul Penders scalp cleansing products.

Avocado Oil (Persea Gratissima Oil)

Oil from this green fruit is an excellent skin emollient with high levels of vitamins A and C.

Babassu Oil (Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil)

Obtained from the kernels of the Babassu palm which is an excellent emollient and also provides a cooling effect on the skin.

Biomarine Algae (Algae Extract)

Extract of brown seaweed (macrocystis, laminaria, and ascophyllum by species) which contain several powerful minerals. Also serves as a thickener and stabilizer for several of our emulsions.

Beta-Carotene

An abundant source of vitamin A; rich in anti-oxidant properties. Excellent for tissue repair and maintenance. Accelerates the formation of healthy new skin cells.

Calendula (Calendula Officinalis Flower)

Wonderful soothing herb with anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties (See Marigold). An integral part of the LevensESSENTIE Gold™22 herbal extract.

Calendula Oil :Anti-bacterial oil with antiseptic properties that promotes healing of the skin.

Calming Flower Essential Oil (Mixing from Essential Oil)

A special blend of fine aromatic essential oils that promote soothing, healing and calming effects on our mood.

Camphor

Calms skin and reduces redness. Used crushed in its natural form.

Candelilla Wax (Euphorbia Cerifera Wax)

Derived from a shrub native to Mexico. Used as an emollient and to protect the skin from moisture loss.

Caprylic Capric Triglycerides

Natural emollient derived from coconut used as a dispersing agent and carrier for active ingredients.

Caramel

Used as a brown natural coloring agent made by heating sugar.

Carmine

A natural colorant from the wings of the cactus louse beetle. Carmine is one of few stable and allowed natural pigments to provide a bright red color. We don’t use chemical FD&C colors.

Carnauba Wax (Copernicia Cerifera Wax)

An emollient and stabilizer in creams. Protects skin from moisture loss.

Carotene

An abundant source of vitamin A; rich in anti-oxidant properties. Excellent for tissue repair and maintenance. Accelerates the formation of healthy new skin cells.

Ceramides (Ceramide 3)

Naturally occurring skin lipids (fats)

Cetyl Alcohol / Cetyl Fatty Alcohol

Not a traditional alcohol but a natural emulsifier that assists in viscosity of creams and lotions. Entirely made from palm and coconut oils.

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum Cassia)

Its fine flavor is due to cinnamon essential oil, which has anti-microbial properties.

Chamomile (Matricaria Recutita Flower)

A great and powerful herb that tones, poses a calming quality, improves tissue regeneration and soothes skin. Important part of LevensESSENTIE Gold™ 22 herbal extract.

Chamomile Essential Oil: is the spicy relaxing scent with healing and antiseptic properties that are beneficial for skin and hair care products.

Chamomile Extract: Used as a natural skin whitening agent that works well in combination with green tea extract, rice fermentation extract and a high dose of vitamin C. It helps to slow down the transportation of melanin to the skin's surface as well as inhibiting UV-induced formation of melanin.

Chlorophyll (Chlorophyllin – Copper Complex)

A natural coloring similar to copper peptides. Both are organically bound forms of copper that strongly accelerate wound healing, cell regeneration and assist in scar prevention.

Citric Acid

Used as a natural preservative derived by fermentation from citrus fruits.

Clay (Kaolin)

Mineral white clay that is deep-cleansing while highly absorbs certain skin impurities. (See: Kaolin)

Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquiinone)

A potent anti-oxidant with proven effective anti-aging and anti-wrinkle properties. It reinforces collagen and elastin production of connective tissue and possesses potent moisturizer qualities. (Liposomes penetrate into skin assist in preventing water-loss).
